She didn't. My assumption was that we'd have to figure that part out for ourselves.
[. . . FROWNS!! and lets out a dry snort]
Yeah, a signature that looks like
ours
doesn't mean anything when it's easy enough to forge our names.

They're holding us to them, forgery or not. If we can find where they are we can probably look at them in more detail, but monobun was pretty firm on getting it herself and bringing it to me.
[ Pause. ]
Know a little about forgeries do you?

No more than the average person.

Someone here might. But even if we figure it out, we're here now either way.
[ yusuke is perfect even when forging things. wipes a single, biased tear. ]
Waiting it out might be the only option, unless I can bring down a wall.

And we're not going anywhere anytime soon.
[UNFORTUNATE]
I don't really like the idea of waiting it out, but when I was talking to Pumpkin-san, she seemed to imply. . . I don't know.
That there's a whole "story" here we have to go through before we get to the end.

Yeah, with this lot if we could've broken out we would have by now.

Yeah. Sort of.

That could've just been Pumpkin-san's way of putting things into easier-to-understand terms, though. She does like video games.

Might be worth finding out. If she'll even talk about it. If this is following a script, then that's immediately all sorts of bad.

If they let us out in the grounds, we might have more luck with an escape route. And figuring out where we are.

[a nod]
That's how I feel. So there has to be a reason we're not allowed out there until next week.
Maybe they're preparing to head off any attempts at escape or identifying our location.

Or the grounds keeper is having a week off.
[ according to sources ]
Maybe they're just embarrassed by the state of the gardens.
Or they're hiding something. I'm leaning to the latter.

[AKIRA IS ONE OF THOSE SOURCES. . .]
Somehow I don't think Pumpkin-san is that easily embarrassed.
What do you think they could be hiding?

... Yeah. She gave off that impression yesterday. You've spoken to her during the week, yeah?

If I knew I wouldn't be itching to get out there and check.

Doubtful. She opened the conversation by complaining about people interrupting her vacation to make her do her job.
