[ can you believe brilith still hasn't checked out this damn closet. we're fixing that now, so what's up, ash. she pauses when she sees him, uh. ripping apart some pants? and raises an eyebrow. ]

[ brilith you fool. go get some nice new clothes! ash just looks at her, and then at the pants. ]

... Pant problems. You alright?

[ what. ]

I'm fine. [ her eyes are bloodshot, the skin of her unwrapped arm is black up to her forearm, and maybe her nails are looking a little sharper than usual, but otherwise? yeah. fine. ] Are none of the pants here up to your standards, or what?

[voidbreaker]

... You look a bit like you haven't slept in 24 hours, Bril. [ He's not gonna mince words, rip. ]

I've got a tail. [ It waves behind him, as if to prove a point. ] None of these pants are equipped to deal with a tail.

I slept fine.

[ if she sounds a little irritated, it's probably because it won't go away no matter what she does. but it's not important!! ]

[ ash just flips the pair of jeans in his hands around a couple of times. ] Somone here probably does. I've just gotta figure out who.

Oh - yes. The Yaksha are a clan of sura, with traits similar to animals like cats or wolves. The fighter's guild has a lot of Yaksha halves.

[ she's not a scholar specializing in sura biology though so, like, whatever. she'll leave ash to struggle with his pants so she can look through the racks of clothes herself. ]

I can do medical sutures, but sewing clothes is a bit different... You could possibly ask Plum, too. She was making a hat in the last trial, wasn't she?

Suit yourself. But tearing holes in your clothes isn't likely to help you much.

...Also, I asked the girls about my knife. The only thing special about it is that it is, apparently, very old. Other than being unable to clean it, it's just a regular knife. But I received something else after they saved Lio that will be much more valuable.

Master Blue granted me one of my spells from home. There's only one use, so I'll have to save it for when I need it most.

[ there's a red dress that's caught her eye, but she grimaces and sets it right back on the rack. ]

It's a restoration spell, meant to restore the target to its optimal state. On living creatures, it will heal all wounds.

[voidbreaker]

[ ... no red for bril.

ash gives her a level look for a moment. ]

... And what's the cost of casting it, Bril?

[ she hates red okay. ]

There is no cost. [ she smiles. ] It's a standard spell that only uses a small amount of vigor, of which I have plenty. There will be no problem with using it, when the time comes.

[voidbreaker]

[ doubt. ]

... Alright. So it could heal someone injured during an execution? Or... heck, if we got to someone quick enough in the morning, if their death was late?

[infire]

It will not cure someone when they're dead, Ash. It will only work on someone who is still alive.

[voidbreaker]

No, I mean-- we always wake up to someone dead, but we don't know when they died. What if we wake up and someone's dying but not dead?

[infire]

As I said, if they are still alive, then the spell will cure them completely - even if they are in the process of dying. That hasn't happened yet, though. Are you so sure it will at all?

Dunno. But if it is, we'd better consider it in case we have to hustle, and do it quickly.

[infire]

If there is no other way, then I will use it. You can trust me on that. I won't leave someone else to die if there's something I can do.

Alright. Other than that... well. It's your discretion when it gets used, yeah? Don't hold back, thinking that we might get to use it later. We'll deal with stuff as it happens, if that's the case.

We need all the people alive we can get.

If it's an injury that someone can live with, I will keep it to myself. I would rather keep the spell for when it's needed most. It would be useful if I'm the next one targeted, as well, but we'll see how things go.

If it turns out that the "small amount of vigour" turns out to be all you have left, you're gonna be in so much trouble though.

There's no need to worry about that. Using vigor won't affect my lifespan unless I run out. One recovery spell won't use everything I have.
