As I said, if they are still alive, then the spell will cure them completely - even if they are in the process of dying. That hasn't happened yet, though. Are you so sure it will at all?

There's no need to worry about that. Using vigor won't affect my lifespan unless I run out. One recovery spell won't use everything I have.

Yes, it's how I got the Staff of Agni back, too. I wasn't expecting to regain one of my spells, though, even for a single use. It makes me wonder if something's changed somehow.

... You think we might be having an affect on this place? It's Blue that gives them out, so if he's gone from being able to bring us physical objects to giving us spells and stuff, maybe that says something about their power now?

Yes, I think we are. As things change every week and we learn more, and react differently, there's no reason to believe that Master Blue isn't changing with us. The notes Phoenix found proved that Master Blue has been at this for a long time, and the fact that we've been here so long is already abnormal, apparently. It's possible that it's given them a way to work around their usual limits.

But if that's true, then we should assume the same of the house itself, of course - so it will be looking for more ways to bring us down while Master Blue tries to help us find a way out.

... Yeah, it's a bit of a double edged sword. If Blue's stronger, the house is gonna be too. The sooner we can split 'em the better.

I'm not sure what the average is. Varian said his group only lasted for about a week.

...That still leaves us with the problem of how to separate the two, though. If anyone's found a way to do so, or even has a theory, they haven't said anything about it yet. At least, nothing they've shared with the rest of us.

Is it even possible to do without killing Blue? The stipulation seems to be that straight up killing them ain't the answer, but there's no guarantee that whatever we try to do in the long run isn't going to kill them anyway.

Mm. The major difference between us is the time frame and the fact that we were stripped of all our powers and items when we were brought here. Without those disadvantages, maybe it was easier to... finish things quickly.

I don't know the answer to that, Ash. All I can say is that if we don't want to be stuck here like all the rest, then we have to find a way to try. We don't seem to have any other solution right now.
