[ so now they have an indoor AND and outdoor gym, talk about being spoiled. ash swings by it a couple of times to get a feel for what's there during the day, but only really stops when he sees Kara there.

he finds some gym equipment conveniently around chest height so he can lean on it and try and figure out what ol' Chatterbox is up to. ]

[ honestly he's just trying to figure out what the fitness striders are? they look so weird? he just presses a button and watches one go, head tilted in faint confusion. ]

[ he's just gonna? stay here and hope to god kara gets on one so he can have a real good laugh watching him trying to run on it, tbh. ]

[ kara is stupid but he is unfortunately not that dumb. after a moment of staring he just. reaches over to turn it back off and walk away. i'm not sure ash was expecting here! he's a boring sword to stalk! ]

[ ... well. wanting the truth is one thing, and understandable? but he... wouldn’t just go and shoot someone for it. knowing’s one thing, but hamel was so long ago it’s like it happened to someone else. he wasn’t an older kid, like Astray, or a teenager like Loewe had been. he’d been three — he remembers Raquel more than he remembers Hamel and what it was like to live there and who he grew up with. ]

Killing someone isn't usually how you get information like that. [ but he's pretty sure that ash knows that. ] But obviously you got out alive, so maybe it was worth it.
