[ what up he’s down by the lake. This is the greatest starter i have ever written, i should quit rp right now ]

[but hey, guess who is showing up at the lake! he is still wearing anime eye bandages but they look properly done now, because Dick is a helper. he has also changed out of his bloody clothing]

[he greets Ash by bumping their shoulders together, knowing that his friend is still deaf]

[ ah. here he is, the man of the hour. hopefully he’s thinking fast, because ash just turns to him and


ducks down enough to get hands around akira and hoist him up off the ground because anime sizes i guess. ]

[STRANGLED NOISE--]

Don't duck my head under water. . .!

[EYE. MISSING. BANDAGE]

[ give him some credit. but also shoulda thought of that before you lost an eye, huh akira?

but all he does is drop him in the water when it’s about waist high and immediately head back towards the shore. he said he’d do it and he did. ]

[ASH SURE DID DO WHAT HE SAID HE WAS GONNA DO, HUH. Akira flails a bit when he's dunked into the water, but he doesn't go under so that's good?? probably??]

[with a few sputters, he picks himself up out of the water and sloshes back to shore, making faces as he does so]

[ and all is right with the world. ash kept his promise too. it's fine. when he's back on the shore, he just kinda flops down, legs crossed with his elbows resting on his knees to watch akira waddle his way back up to shore.

[once he makes it to shore he carefully begins to wring the water out of his shirt. he might be flicking a few droplets of water at Ash as PAYBACK]

[ yeah he won the overall war though so he'll accept the droplet splashes. ]

It'd be better if you hadn't y'know. Gone and lost more bodyparts but I feel more satisfied. You should more careful though, I doubt any of the dead would want to see you too soo--

[ there's a pause as he stops midsentence, and then just closes his eyes very tiredly. ]

[ he looks. so supremely unimpressed. ]

Okay, but why? Obviously the dead don't want to see my too soon, and I don't plan on dying, so. . .?

Because it's a stupid side effect. I fell asleep into the memorial chamber last night, and now I'm spouting eulogies. [ like becks knows how to phrase a eulogy, just pretend i'm really good at it ]

Only I don't know shit about any of the dead so I just keep referring to them generally, out of nowhere.
