It's a board with letters on it, that you use to communicate with the dead. There's the stone with a hole through the middle, like this one, and when you place it on the board, the stone is to move over the letters to spell out words. That's how you commincate.

The portraits on the wall didn't flicker when I looked through this. Like, Snowbunny's, and everyone else's who died. As soon as I looked away, they went back to flickering.

I haven't tried looking for one specifically, if there is one, it's probably up there with the board games. With the portraits... I want to see, so let's go there before heading upstairs. Maybe seeing through the stone is... I don't know. Maybe it shows how things are supposed to be, or... or something.

Not too sure exactly what it's supposed to do yet, but it picks up on things. Couple of the doors on the third floor were giving off a weird light when you looked at it through this, but when Akira tried to go inside they wouldn't open.
