That may be part of it, too - even the lesser sura tend to be violent. But the superior sura... many of them kill for fun, if given the chance. At least that's how it seems. My home may have taken a lot less damage, otherwise.
That, and more. They're much stronger than humans, even the strongest of magicians. And they have magic of their own, called transcendentals - very powerful skills that most humans can't use, and can't easily fight back against. It gives them a great advantage over us, when they can make it to our realm.
