But, if you’re right, and the weapon has a soul and it’s connected — isn’t it gonna be a fit for the weapon itself? What looks uncomfortable to you’s probably perfectly normal to it.

I never said there wasn't. But you have to think more carefully when you're in closer quarters.

You can't really take polearms to indoor battles, though.
