[ he takes a sip of his coffee, almost thoughtfully. ]
... [ instinct, huh? ]
You mentioned about people maybe having special duties or some shit, like back at the mansion. You just speculating that, or has someone told you that they're doing more tasks than just cleaning the kitchen and dancing with strangers?
[lifts a hand and presses it against his face, rubbing at his eyes as he does so. his entire posture is stiff and nervous, a far cry from the way Akira normally is]
No, it's nothing like that. I haven't heard anything about "special privileges" here; I was just speculating.
It's just-- [ugh] I know this sounds crazy, and I wish I had some logic to back it up.
It's not gonna do you any harm if you don't have to resort to using it. But it will do if you're right and you've got nothing to counter a literal robot after your ass.
[ he'd rather none of them did anything stupid that involved murder? but. you roll with the punches. ]
I'm gonna be fucking blunt here a second: if it turns out she's possessed, despite "assurances" that's not gonna happen here, she's not gonna be able to be talked out of it. So it's her or you.
And I'm not gonna hold out for some hope we'll find some magic item that can dispell possession again, because the last time someone had the bright idea to try that, Isaac got his head bitten off anyway.
She's a combat bot, so I doubt she's gonna be taken out by something like electricity so easily. But if you get under the hood, a spark could shut her down. [ a pause ] And could be fixable, not permanent.
Other than that... you could use her weight against her, and trap her somewhere if you're really against killing her.
al i'm too sneepy for all this fear
What happened to make you so convinced she's going to kill you?
hahaha
[slightly frustrated, hackles raising]
Nothing. I can't pinpoint any one thing she did to make me feel this way. But I do.
It's just-- it's instinct, okay? A feeling.
[hm]
:gooseknife:

tee hee

[he presses a hand against his heart]
It's all right here.

Crazier than getting kidnapped twice and maybe ending up in a messed up death game more than once?
[ ... ]
Maybe you need to start thinking of ways to counter her, just in case she does try something.
no subject
You think so?
no subject
[ he'd rather none of them did anything stupid that involved murder? but. you roll with the punches. ]
no subject
I guess so.
[. . .]
If things here work anything like they did back in the mansion, only she and I will be awake at night.
no subject
You said your ability's defensive? There's no way to turn it offensive, if you had to?
no subject
[on that he is firm! even if he is worried that, for some reason, she might come after him]

[his grip tightens around his mug, his gaze narrowing at the coffee inside]
. . . no. My ability really is purely defensive.

[ think, think... ]

Trapping her might be the best bet. The isolation cabin has a jail cell, right?
. . . though I don't know where the key is.
no subject
Someone must be able to get it open. If you got her in the cabin itself, she'd probably be able to force the door down.
...
Think the camp leader's would be willing to share about the key if we asked?
no subject
I don't know.
And there are three of them to ask.
no subject
Then we should probably get asking. And come up with some alternative ideas in the meanwhile.
[ ... ]
She's waterproof, isn't she?
no subject
No idea. But I'd imagine she is.
[a beat]
Who do you want to ask?
no subject
I've only spoken to one of them, so I can branch out. Who do you think is more likely to tell us?
no subject
Honestly, I think all three of them would be equally as honest. Who'd you speak to?
no subject
no subject
They prefer Winter.
But sure. Let's go with them.
