But Nie HuaiSang shouldn't be excused on fear alone - not when it could have meant allowing someone else to die instead. But I don't know what else we could do to change his mind about speaking up, if something happens again in the future.
I'd be more sympathetic if he wasn't a brat about it and literally everything all the damn time. [ ... maybe. Still, is it better to have someone here and risk losing them, or not have anyone here at all and know they're probably already lost in the likely event you don't make it home?

But we should always prioritize finding the monsters, and knowing who else killed that wasn't one of them is paramount to that task.
If we miss the monster, they get to kill again next week. Which makes it harder to try and stop it, and prevent a murder.

That sounds like a load of bullshit. No one would be happy about that happening -- it's a waste of a vote and a life, in the grand scheme of all this shit. It'd be easier if we had something that let us pinpoint the monsters in play before it got to the whole killing and trials part.
What would you propose we do, if we can't find the monster in or out of the trials? The girls said there was no way to find them before they transform, didn't they? Assuming they aren't lying, of course. And even if we speak with Master Blue, there's no guarantee we'll get anything different out of him.
We'd have to figure that out, if the time came. Dunno, maybe we're figuring some things out this week that we wouldn't have before. Maybe I'm feeling cautiousy optimistic.
